Rated 5 out of 5 by from Ease of use I love the way it is so easy to extend or calapse the pole to a shorter length. The quick connect and ease of switching sprayer tips.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from The right tool to clean my 2nd-story gutters I purchased this wand at Home Depot to enable me to clean off the accumulated algae/scum on the lip of Gutterguard rain gutter covers on a 2-story house. Given that professional gutter cleaning starts at $400 and goes up, this little wonder more than paid for itself with a single use. I'm using it with the Ryobi Model #RY141612 electric pressure washer also sold at Home Depot, and the combination is more than sufficient for basic homeowner jobs. The good: solid construction has minimal flex even at full extension. I would caution that this would NOT be the case if you bought a right-angle head for the end of the wand ... 1,600 PSI at full extension on the standard high-pressure nozzle that comes with the 141612 is enough to deflect the wand if vertical, and nearly support the weight at about a 20-degree incline. Higher pressure or a sharper angle for the nozzle and I imagine the wand could be nearly uncontrollable due to the amount of leverage. Also good: some reviewers here speak of wishing for a shoulder strap, suggesting maybe there wasn't one in earlier models. There is now, and it's pretty important to use it to avoid excessive operator fatigue. The cautions (I will not say "bad"): this wand is designed so the hose follows the wand all the way to the end, which means when you collapse it, you have a lot of hose hanging out the back of the handle. This hose can get tangled really easily and so it can be a pain to extend and then collapse. As long as you take your time to untwist the hose it's manageable, but it's still a challenge. Also, despite the description of 18', the actual wand only extends about 16'. That's still more than most alternatives you can buy, but be aware. On my house I need to climb a ladder even with the wand to reach most of my 2nd-story gutters. Finally, be aware that while assembling the sections for the first time (they come disassembled in the box) you may need to loosen or tighten the screws on some of the section clamps in order to successfully insert the pieces and then have the clamps both release and hold sections correctly. The bad: As some other commenters have said, the little retaining clip that is used to fasten the pressure hose to the handle has nothing to hold it in place but a little friction. While it's reasonably tight -- it won't just fall out when you tip it -- I'm concerned about it getting dislodged over time. To prevent this, I made a little retaining wire using some 1/32 steel wire (see photos). I strongly recommend you do something similar unless/until Ryobi comes up with a more reliable locking mechanism. The buyer beware: Ryobi considers this item a "consumable" so offers no warranty beyond defect right out of the box. I was surprised to discover this. That said, mine has good solid construction so I'm not terribly worried. Overall take-home, though, is that I'm quite satisfied with my purchase.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Does the job that nothing else does I have a one story house with sloping yard so reach in back is almost a story and a half. I do not like to use a ladder for power washing and do not like to shoot up under the siding from the ground. This does do the job but it is a little awkward as when fully extended with the brush attachment, it is out of balance and tough to control other than straight up and down.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Great performance I’ve researched pressure washer extensions and tried one I thought would work, but this is by far the best. I had to remove mold from roof shingles and after spraying the roof with “Wet & Forget” to kill the moss, I used the telescope to pressure wash and scrub with the brush. It extended at least 18 feet and despite the length, the pole was extremely sturdy and the combination of the water and the brush removed some very difficult moss adhering to the shingles. Quite impressed by this tool’s design and how easy the telescope extended and stayed in place. This would work well on house siding that’s hard to reach. Only issue is it didn’t fit with a Sun Joe pressure washer and not sure about fitting others. I used it with a Ryobi pw.

Rated 4 out of 5 by from It works great, but one minor design flaw It does its job great: it extends; it balances well; it assembles quickly But The hose that goes up the hose connects to the handle with a U pin. With all the quick-connect and nicely threaded connectors, it requires a specific U pin that has no lanyard to keep it with the unit. If I ever have to remove it (unlikely), I will almost certainly lose this pin

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Lifesaving alternative to ladders The siding on the North side of the house had the common algae problem. Our older pressure washer died, so went out and got the ryobi washer and in a stroke of genius, this extension pole. Extended all the way, of course there's a bit of control needed - but performed spectacularly, and got the job done faster and safer. Worth every cent.
