The RYOBI 8 in. 18-Volt ONE+ Pruning Chainsaw is the ideal saw for easily trimming limbs around the yard. This chainsaw has a compact and lightweight design which reduces fatigue, allows for easy transportation, and storage. Featuring side access chain tensioning, quickly adjust the bar and chain while conveniently storing the combination wrench in the on-board tool storage area. This chainsaw features an oil-free function to make operation and maintenance as simple as possible. The chainsaw includes a SAFE-T-TIP that should be installed prior to use for safe operation. As part of the RYOBI 18-Volt ONE+ platform, it is compatible with all 18-Volt ONE+ batteries and chargers. The RYOBI 8 in. 18-Volt ONE+ Pruning Chainsaw is backed by a 3-year limited tool warranty.

Very handy!
I have a large piece of wooded property. This chainsaw has been great to use. It's lightweight, fairly quiet compared to gas. The chain is easy to tighten up, and I love that the tool for that is carried in the handle of the chainsaw! I have cut trees up to 6 inches wide so far. Easy to use, an low maintenance.

Light and gets the job done!
I am a 72 year old female and recently purchased this chainsaw. I have been thrilled cutting limbs and branches and quite excited to be able to clean up my property. My only disappointment is there is no instruction manual. For instance...what do I do when I get a piece of wood stuck in the blade and it no longer moves? And I need to learn how to tighten the chain when it loosens. Fortunately a friend was able to help me out but I'd feel more confident if I had a manual. Otherwise it is light and comfortable to maneuver. A great product.

So much faster than Sawzall.
Taking down trees that lean towards house. On a budget and needed something sager than gas saw to use while climbing. This saw works well. Would like one size up...maybe later purchase. My single complaint is that the chain tension needs adjusted frequently. Otherwise I am happy with purchase and it cuts great. Also a plus that it shares batteries with my ryobi grinder.

Great little chainsaw, when the motor doesn’t fre.
I purchased this chainsaw about 20 months ago for small limbs and fallen branches. Works great. About 16 months age the motor froze up. Took it back to Home Depot for repair, they replaced it. This one, I got about 15 months use out of it. The motor froze up also. I took this one to Home Depot, they don’t repair any more. I am waiting for ryobi to contact me back to find out what I can do. When the chainsaw works, it works well.
