40V STRING TRIMMER & BLOWER Kit is rated 4.5 out of 5 by 69.
Rated 5 out of 5 by from easy to use, battery charger is too small Bought this early spring because my gas string trimmer gave out on me. Decided to get the combo kit with the blower to make it easier to blow off my patio. The string trimmer is not heavy duty but I did not expect it be. It just has a single string but it has plenty of power. The 4AH battery lasts a long time. The blower does the job on my patio and deck. I did not like the charger that is supplied with the combo pack. I have a charger that came with a 40V hedge trimmer I purchased a couple of years ago and it is much better as you can hang it on the wall. The cheap charger does not wall mount and it's puny. (Wanted to post some pics but the ones I had were "too large" apparently)

Rated 4 out of 5 by from Easy to use. It's great to have to battery operated tools that use the same battery. There are a couple of design changes that should be done. It's very difficult to get the battery out of the blower. You have to reach way inside to push the release button. It's nice to have 2 speeds on the blower but I rarely use low speed. It would be better to have that speed as the default or a way to lock it in high speed. The trimmer rotates in the opposite direction of every other trimmer I have owned. To get good cutting, I have to walk left to right. Holding the trigger in my right hand, that means I have to walk backwards.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Enough for small yard. I am first timer and bought this combo as my first tool. Used it for couple of times and since battery is small, it used to get drained before I can complete the blower job. Nothing wrong with the tool, I was just spending more battery on trimmer and hence I returned it and upgraded to 4amp combo option which has edger too. This blower was bit under power for my use though and often didn't move the dry leaves which were entangled in bermuda grass but was good enough to move the grass and clean my driveway... Combo is ideal for small yard with no trees.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Life saver I bought this trimmer because I have a bad shoulder and pulling my gas trimmer really hurts. I was concern that it would not be strong enough or would run out of power. To my surprise I was able to trim my yard and blow it off with the one charge and trimmer and blower are plenty strong

Rated 3 out of 5 by from Ryobi Package Review The blower is great, but I hate the design of the string trimmer that causes the string to advance each time you release the on-off hand switch. This causes you to rapidly use up the string though the string was still long enough. Why doesn't Ryobi design a string trimmer that lets you advance the string on demand with a separate button. My Black and Decker has this feature, and I can advance the string when needed. It seems to me Ryobi is forcing you to buy more of their expensive string. Bummer!

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Easy to Use I use a gas-powered trimmer and backpack blower for the bulk of our property. My wife was asking for a smaller, lighter string trimmer and blower for her to use around the cabin when there was some smaller trimming that she wanted to do. She is very happy with this combo kit. They are lightweight, balanced, and easy to use. We also have the 40v Ryobi 21" mower that we use for trimming so this combo kit fit right in. It's great not to have to deal with another gas-powered device to complete a job.

Rated 5 out of 5 by from Works like a charm I was tired of trying to maintain gas powered blowers and the limitations of electric powered ones. This blower and trimmer works great, light weight easy to use just plug in and go. The battery only holds about 30 mins charge, so you need two batteries. This model does a fairly good job blowing from ivy, long grass, shrubs etc but a slightly more powerful model will work better, depends on the size of your property
